- Is Chiropractic Safe? Chiropractic adjustments are safe, and there are decades of published medical research about this topic. The most common complaint after an adjustment is mild soreness for a few hours or more. Most people do not experience any soreness after being adjusted.
- How Much Does It Cost? When paying cash and not using insurance, an initial appointment with an exam and treatment can cost $120 or more. If using insurance it will likely cost you whatever your “specialist copay” is, and then also include a potential deductible. Those costs are related more to your insurance policy than to the policies or prices of the office you are getting treated at. A typical treatment appointment will cost $60 at our office, with other offices having varying costs.
- How Long Will it Take to Feel Better? Sometimes a patient will be better with one appointment, other times it will take longer. It really depends on the severity of your care and the nature of your condition, as well as your age, what kind of physical shape you are in prior to seeking treatment, and other factors.
- Will Getting Adjusted Hurt? It usually feels good to be adjusted by a chiropractor. Typically people report feeling relieved and looser. Any time a healthcare provider is physically treating an injured or painful area there is the possibility that you can feel soreness or pain with treatment, though carefully applied chiropractic adjustments will usually feel good.
- Does My Insurance Pay For Chiropractic? Most people with health insurance in the US have policies that cover chiropractic care, ranging from 12 to 100 or more visits per year covered. Our patients typically have more coverage than they “need” when it comes to chiropractic care. The best thing to do is call the phone number on your insurance care, or call our office, to find out precisely the level of coverage you have.
- How Do I Schedule an Appointment? You can call our office at (301) 378-0334, or email our office via the Contact link on the menu. Once you are an established patient, then it is very convenient to schedule with our App. You simply download it to your phone, or visit the address in your browser, and you can make, reschedule or delete appointments at will.
- Can I Just Come in to Talk? Yes, you can. We offer free 20 minute consultations. If you have questions about our office or your health we encourage you to come in for a free consult. Call and get on the books, and come prepared. Bring any imaging (x-rays/MRI reports) or questions you might have.
