About Your First Visit to Park Bench Chiropractic

Our office is located in beautiful Frederick, Maryland. Upon entering our front door you will be warmly greeted and welcomed. Our waiting room has a selection of magazines and books to read in one of our comfortable chairs. On your first visit you will need to fill out some paperwork (unless you used the link above to download and print our paperwork beforehand).

After finishing up the paperwork you will be taken into our examination room where the doctor will evaluate your condition, and that will guide your treatment. Depending on your health concerns, this exam can take as little time as 30 minutes to as long as an hour or more for more complicated cases. X-rays may be ordered to assist in the diagnosis. Orthopedic, neurological, and functional assessment may be used to discover the precise nature of your problem. Most back and neck pain is not terribly difficult to diagnose accurately.

After this thorough examination the doctor will present the findings to you in a clear and helpful manner, and prescribe a treatment plan with clear goals that work for you as an individual. Sometimes a treatment plan is not proposed until a following office visit.

Park Bench Chiropractic works with local radiology clinics to provide our patients with same day walk-in digital X-Ray access. This means that, if X-Rays are ordered by us, you will be able to immediately drive to a nearby (within a mile or so) radiology facility and have digital x-rays taken, after which you will be given a CD or DVD or printout with your X-Rays on them so that you keep a copy of your images. The chiropractors at Park Bench Chiropractic may keep their own copy and these images will be factored into your care plan.

We're not trying to waste anyone's time, so there's a very good chance that you will be brought back for your exam and adjustment within a few minutes of turning your paperwork in. We don't like to keep people waiting around, we'll leave that to every other doctor on Earth. You can expect to be in our office for about an hour for your initial exam and adjustment, give or take 20 minutes depending on the simplicity or complexity of your case.
